The Installation of Officers for Our Lady of the Valley Council was celebrated in St Lukes Parish Church immediately following Mass on
Tuesday, September 7th. Our Worthy District Deputy John Verkerk and his Worthy Warden Br. Elmer Lazar presided over the Installation. Father Amador Abundo, our Councils Worthy Chaplain and our Parish Priest offered prayers for our executive, the presiding team and our families and friends in attendance. It was a very good experience for all of us to participate in the Holy Eucharistic Celebration together in our Parish Church and then have our Installation of Officers there, in front of the Tabernacle, in the Church. It gave many of our Parishioners a chance to observe a rite of the Knights of Columbus and to recognize our new executive officers. Perhaps there was a teenager there who will be inspired to join the Circle of Squires that we hope to start this year. ? . The Installation of Officers and Our Summer Executive meeting were very well attended, which leaves us confident that we will have a successful year in our Council. Information from our Grand Knight and his Executive regarding Council plans and activities will be posted on our Web Page and in our monthly "Chronicle". Watch for it and, to any Brother who may not have been "active" lately, we sincerely and fraternally invite you to come out and join us in the activities this year! Vivat Jesus |
